Malgré le bon travail des médecins en Haïti, le jeudi 12 février Maxence a du être transféré par hélicoptère à Santo Domingo, pour se faire soigner car il commençait à développer des complications de toutes sortes (eau dans les poumons, cotes cassées, foie endommagé).

Actuellement il est sous soins intensifs à l'un des meilleurs hôpitaux de Santo Domingo et je viens tout juste d'apprendre par Sibylle que sa jambe gauche est à demi-paralysée dû à une lésion au niveau du cerveau où il a reçu les coups de marteau.

Les spécialistes disent qu'il faudra compter quelques bons mois avant la récupération complète de sa motricité.

Aujourd'hui, je fais donc appel à la bonté et générosité de tous ceux et celles faisant partie ou non de notre famille qui voudraient bien nous supporter en ce concerne les frais exorbitants des soins que nous essayons de lui donner. Nous vous en sommes d'ors et déjà très reconnaissants.

Je veux déjà remercier Ti-Ra et Pascale pour leur dévouement sans limites; Ben, Marc et Sibylle pour leur support financier et dévouement; Simy, Marie-France et Ginou pour leur inconditionnel support moral; Man Mimiche et mon oncle Raoul, pour leur énorme courage face à ce drame; ainsi que tous ceux qui ont été présents physiquement, téléphoniquement, "emailement" durant ces moments difficiles.

Dear All :

No need to describe our stress. Initially: the wild aggression made on Maxence and the anguish during the brain surgery which lasted 9 hours in the PAP hospital. Several blows of hammer, these savages had fracture different places from its head.

In spite of the good work of the doctors in Haiti, this Thursday February 12, Maxence was transferred by helicopter to Santo Domingo, several complications had developed (water in the lungs, broken ribs, bruised liver etc ...).

Currently he is under intensive care at one of the best hospitals of Santo Domingo and I have just learned from Sibylle that his left leg has half paralyzed due to lesions at the brain. The specialists say that it will be necessary to count a few good months before the complete recovery of its motricity.

Today, I thus make call to kindness and generosity of all those forming part or not of our family, which would like to support us well, in what are the extravagant expenses of the care that we try to provide to Maxence. We are already very grateful.

I want to thank Pascale and Ti-Ra for their unlimited devotion, Ben, Marc and Sibylle for their financial supports and devotion, Simy, Marie-France and Ginou for their unconditional moral support, Man Mimiche and my uncle Raoul, for their enormous courage facing this drama and all those which were present physically, ...telephonically, ... “emailly”, during these difficult moments.
